Port Burwell Trinity Anglican Church is a beautiful, historic church that is known for its warm atmosphere and its welcoming and
friendly people. Weekly services are open to everyone, and many cottagers and campers choose to attend Trinity during their time in Port Burwell. The church is also a popular wedding site.
The church was built by Colonel Mahlon Burwell. It is currently part of a 3-point charge along with St. Luke’s in Vienna, and Trinity Church in Aylmer. Surrounding the church is a historic cemetery in which the earliest burial is recorded as 1818. Both regular and cremation burial plots are still available and open to all faiths. Trinity is located in the lakeside community of Port Burwell, Ontario Canada.
This quaint little village is a very popular summer spot for people enjoying the beautiful beaches (east and west) and for those choosing to stay at a local bed and breakfast, or cottage, or camp at the Port Burwell Provincial Park. Boaters, fishing enthusiasts, swimmers, sunbathers, volleyball players, windsurfers, kayakers and others find this a wonderful place in which to spend time. Other local attractions - besides the marine museum and the lighthouse - include sixty-six (66) wind turbines that dot the shoreline. To learn about our community check out the Visitors’ Guide.
